Ciyouqi Terms of Service

Updated: 2026-10-24 · Effective: 2026-10-24 · 2026.10

Welcome to Ciyouqi (iOS version) (the “Ciyouqi” or “App”). The App is developed and operated by Shanghai Finite Learning Technologies Co., Ltd. (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). Unless otherwise stated, within the scope permitted by applicable law, we hold the relevant intellectual-property or other lawful rights in software, brands, interfaces, vocabulary-book arrangement, algorithms, and other results that we develop or lawfully obtain for the App and its services. We agree to provide internet-based services (the “Services”) in accordance with these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App, especially the provisions on auto-renewal, account deletion, liability limitations, minors, and dispute resolution. Minors should read them accompanied by a legal guardian. A user aged 14 or above must actively check or tap acceptance in the App; a child under 14 must read the applicable legal documents together with a legal guardian, and the legal guardian must complete the consent statement in the App. These Terms are formed between you and us only after the applicable legal documents have been expressly accepted. If you do not accept the applicable legal documents, or if you are under 14 and your legal guardian does not accept the applicable children's privacy rules, please stop registering for and using all services provided by the App. Using the Services means that you accept these Terms; where a child under 14 is involved, such use also presupposes that the legal guardian has completed the consent statement above.

Language and Regional Statement

The App currently provides services only to users in Mainland China. The Simplified Chinese version of these Terms is the formal version and has legal effect. The English and Japanese versions are reference translations provided only to help international users in Mainland China understand the App. If the language versions differ, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.

Important Terms Summary

  • Ciyouqi is a vocabulary-learning aid and does not guarantee a particular examination score, memory retention, or learning outcome;
  • Pro Starter Pass is a 7-day, non-auto-renewing product; Pro Monthly and Pro Annual are auto-renewing subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store;
  • Product name, price, billing period, offer period, whether it auto-renews, renewal price, and final amount charged are determined by the information displayed in the App Store purchase flow before payment;
  • Deleting a Ciyouqi account is generally irreversible, and account profile, learning records, offer eligibility, and related benefit records may not be recoverable. Deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple-managed auto-renewing subscription and does not itself create a refund;
  • Registration, sign-in, and learning synchronization process the sign-in identifier, account profile, learning records, and subscription status you choose. Specific personal-information fields, purposes, retention periods, third-party recipients, and ways to exercise rights are described in the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and Ciyouqi Personal Information Collection List; client-side third-party SDKs are described in the Ciyouqi Third-Party SDK Directory. Where the personal information of a child under 14 is involved, the child and guardian must also read and accept the Ciyouqi Children's Privacy Policy, and the in-App age group must be selected truthfully;
  • Apple, WeChat, QQ, Alibaba Cloud Number Verification, and relevant mobile operators process necessary information under their respective rules when you choose the relevant sign-in, payment, or authentication function. To provide cloud synchronization, email, app-security verification, subscription-status refresh, and troubleshooting, relevant service providers may also process necessary information while the relevant function operates. Specific recipients and scope are described in the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and Ciyouqi Personal Information Collection List;
  • A user under 14 must have a guardian personally complete the consent statement in the App; a minor's purchase of paid services requires guardian consent and operation;
  • Learning data is synchronized over a network and may be delayed, conflict, or display differently for a short time because of the network, device, system, third-party platform, or concurrent operations;
  • Sharing or selling accounts, bulk registration, scraping vocabulary books, falsifying transactions, cracking the client, bypassing security verification, and abusing offers are prohibited;
  • The software, product names, interface, vocabulary-book arrangement, questions, learning materials, algorithms, and data structures are protected by intellectual-property and other applicable laws;
  • You may submit inquiries, complaints, appeals, or personal-information rights requests at support@finitelearning.com; we generally respond within 15 business days.

The summary is provided for convenience; if it differs from the body, the body prevails.

1. Parties and Scope

Operator: Shanghai Finite Learning Technologies Co., Ltd. Registered address: Area A, 13th Floor, Building 3, No. 2875 Huqingping Highway, Zhaoxiang Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai Contact email: support@finitelearning.com

These Terms apply to the App's accounts, vocabulary learning, review and quizzes, learning statistics, data synchronization, subscriptions, and feedback services. The Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and subscription rules expressly displayed on the purchase page form part of these Terms. For processing involving the personal information of a child under 14, the Ciyouqi Children's Privacy Policy applies to that processing and forms part of the applicable documents together with these Terms.

When you download and use the App through the App Store (the application distribution and in-App purchase service provided by Apple), Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's applicable Licensed Application End User License Agreement apply to the App Store, Apple Account, payment, subscription management, and App license services provided by Apple. The specific merchant, charging entity, and applicable transaction rules are determined by the App Store purchase flow, bill, or receipt shown before payment. Apple is not the provider of learning services under these Terms; we are responsible for the App's learning services, content, benefit delivery, and customer service, and bear consumer responsibilities that legally belong to us.

2. Services

The App mainly provides:

  • Vocabulary-book browsing, dictionary search, vocabulary learning, and progress management for languages such as English, Japanese, and Chinese;
  • Memory-algorithm review scheduling based on learning records, quizzes, incorrect-answer practice, learning statistics, vocabulary milestones, and learning simulations;
  • Cloud storage and cross-device synchronization after sign-in;
  • Paid learning benefits provided through the App Store;
  • Learning settings, voice playback, study reminders, applicable subscription-expiration reminders, and user feedback;
  • Sharing initiated by the user;
  • Necessary technical safeguards for accounts, transactions, and App security.

Devices, network connections, and mobile-operator services needed to use the App may incur charges, which you bear under the rules of the relevant device and network service providers.

Specific functions, vocabulary books, free quotas, paid benefits, and supported languages are determined by the actual pages in the App.

The App provides learning assistance and does not guarantee that you will achieve a particular examination score, vocabulary size, or learning result. Learning outcomes are affected by personal effort, foundation, use, and other factors.

3. Account Registration, Sign-In, and Use

3.1 Registration and Sign-In Methods

Depending on the version, region, and device, the App may offer:

  • Sign In with WeChat;
  • Sign In with QQ;
  • Sign in with Apple;
  • One-tap mobile-number sign-in;
  • Mobile SMS verification code;
  • Email and password.

The actually available methods are shown on the sign-in page. You must use an email address, mobile number, or third-party account that you are entitled to use and may not impersonate another person. When signing in with a third-party account, you must also comply with that platform's rules.

For a registration application that violates these Terms, fails to provide truthful and valid information, or presents an obvious security risk, we may refuse registration, require additional verification, or restrict or suspend related account services in accordance with law. Measures will be proportionate to the risk.

3.2 Account Security

You must properly safeguard account credentials (including passwords, verification codes, login tokens, and other information used to log in to, recover, or verify an account) and the login device. You may not transfer, sell, rent, lend, or allow others to use them in any way, or help others bypass subscription offers, risk controls, or access restrictions.

We process sign-in, account operations, and benefit requests only when the account is in normal status, credential verification has passed, and no abnormality sufficient to trigger security measures has been found. When credentials are expired, revoked, invalid, inconsistent with the current account, or abnormal, we may require re-verification or refuse or delay processing.

If an account, credential, or device is lost, disclosed, stolen, misused, or abnormal, you must immediately contact support@finitelearning.com. After receiving notice, we will verify the situation within a reasonable period and may invalidate tokens, restrict high-risk operations, or take other necessary security measures.

To the extent permitted by law, losses caused by your voluntary disclosure of credentials, delivery of a device to another person, or failure to promptly report a known risk are borne by you.

3.3 Account Profile

You may set a nickname, but it may not contain illegal, infringing, insulting, misleading, or official-impersonating content.

3.4 Account Control, Authorization, and Abnormal Handling

We manage account registration, authentication, use, and service administration in accordance with law. You obtain only a non-exclusive, non-transferable qualification to use the App's services for personal and non-commercial purposes during the term of these Terms. This qualification does not constitute ownership of personal information, learning data, or purchased benefits, and does not include the right to sell, rent, lend, gift, or otherwise allow another person to control the account. Learning data, paid benefits, and offer eligibility under an account may not be separately traded.

If there is a reasonable basis to believe that an account is controlled, transferred, or lent by someone other than the initial registrant, we may require identity verification. If verification fails, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate relevant account services according to the risk level and will provide an appeal channel as required by law.

If the system detects a large number of registrations in a short time, abnormal IP or device changes, credential leakage, bulk requests, falsified transactions, repeated offer claims, or other high-risk conduct, we may require re-verification, invalidate tokens, restrict high-risk operations, temporarily freeze, or suspend services. Measures will be proportionate to the risk. Unless emergency security or legal confidentiality applies, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal channel.

You must promptly update and ensure that the information you provide is truthful, lawful, and valid. If an email address, mobile number, or third-party account becomes invalid and you fail to update it, resulting in inability to verify the account, receive notices, or recover access, you bear the resulting adverse consequences.

4. Free and Paid Services

The App may provide free functions and paid learning benefits through App Store in-App purchase items. Before purchase, the page displays the relevant language, benefit content, service period, price, auto-renewal status, and offer conditions. The product name, currency, displayed price and applicable taxes, offer eligibility, and final amount charged are determined by the actual information shown in the App Store purchase flow before payment.

We may adjust new-purchase products, benefits, or prices according to operations and product circumstances. Purchased benefits are handled according to the content displayed at purchase and applicable law; we will not retroactively reduce benefits obtained through payment by amending these Terms afterward.

Paid benefits generally take effect after Apple returns a valid transaction and the server verifies it. Activation may be briefly delayed by Apple, the network, or server status synchronization. If Apple has charged you but benefits are not displayed, first use “Restore Purchases”; if they are still not restored, contact customer service for verification using Apple transaction information.

5. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

5.1 Pro Starter Pass

The App may provide a one-time Pro Starter Pass for each learning language. The current product design is a paid, 7-day, non-auto-renewing product. The Pro Starter Pass does not automatically convert to Pro Monthly or Pro Annual when it expires. If you want to continue using paid benefits, you must actively select another product. Specific price, eligibility limits, and validity period are determined by the App Store purchase flow before payment and the in-App description.

To prevent repeated claims, the Pro Starter Pass and other limited offers may be limited to one use per account or device. We use necessary account, transaction, and App-security information to determine eligibility.

5.2 Pro Monthly and Pro Annual Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

The App may offer Pro Monthly and Pro Annual auto-renewing subscriptions for each learning language. Subscriptions are processed and managed through Apple's App Store:

  • After purchase confirmation, the charge is collected according to the merchant and payment method displayed in Apple's purchase flow;
  • Unless you turn off auto-renewal under Apple's rules before the current subscription period ends, Apple automatically renews the subscription at the period and price shown on the purchase page;
  • Apple may attempt to collect payment before renewal. The specific charge time, grace period, billing retries, and renewal status are governed by Apple's rules and subscription-management page;
  • After auto-renewal is cancelled, you can generally continue to use the subscription until the end of the paid current period;
  • Deleting the App or signing out does not cancel the subscription.

You can view, change, or cancel the subscription in iPhone “Settings > your name > Subscriptions” or on Apple's subscription-management page.

We prominently display the auto-renewal status, next-period price, billing period, and cancellation path in the App's purchase flow. The specific charge time, reminder method, and cancellation entry for auto-renewal are governed by Apple Account's subscription-management page and applicable rules.

If the auto-renewal price changes, Apple will notify you under its applicable rules and obtain your confirmation where required. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel auto-renewal before the new price takes effect; if the applicable rules require confirmation and you do not confirm, the subscription should not continue at the changed price.

5.3 Introductory Offers

Users eligible under Apple's rules may see an introductory price or other offer for Pro Monthly. The purchase page displays the offer price, offer period, standard renewal price after the offer ends, and whether it auto-renews. Eligibility is determined jointly by Apple, account purchase history, and necessary abuse-prevention rules; it cannot be transferred or claimed repeatedly.

If the purchase-page information differs from examples in these Terms or an older document, the latest transaction terms actually displayed in the App Store purchase flow before you confirm payment prevail. Those transaction terms determine only the price, period, offer, and renewal terms of the transaction and do not reduce consumer rights you enjoy by law.

5.4 Restore Purchases and Account Binding

You may use the in-App “Restore Purchases” function to obtain eligible benefits associated with an Apple Account. To prevent incorrect delivery of benefits or sharing by multiple people, the same Apple transaction may need to be bound to the current Ciyouqi account. If the accounts do not match, switch to the original bound account or contact customer service for verification.

When different subscriptions or benefits for the same learning language coexist during their validity periods, the system determines available benefits according to Apple's valid transaction status and server verification. You may not transfer subscription benefits from one Ciyouqi account to another yourself.

5.5 Refunds

For transactions completed through the App Store, you may request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's rules. Whether the request qualifies and the result are determined by Apple and applicable law. If a refund, remedy, or compensation is required from us by law because we failed to provide the service as agreed, failed to deliver benefits, or for another reason attributable to us, you may still submit a request to us; we do not use Apple's refund process to replace or exclude our legal responsibility.

After Apple approves a refund, reverses a transaction, determines that a transaction is invalid, or a payment fails, we may recover the corresponding unpaid or refunded benefits according to Apple's valid transaction status. Benefits temporarily displayed due to synchronization delay do not create a new promise of free service.

6. Learning Services, Data Synchronization, and Sharing

6.1 Learning Algorithms and Content Boundaries

The App calculates review times, incorrect answers, statistics, and recommendations based on your learning records, quiz results, and settings. Memory-algorithm parameters, difficulty, predictions, and simulations are learning-assistance results and do not constitute a professional commitment regarding education, examinations, employment, or other matters. Results may differ from your actual memory state because of insufficient samples, incorrect operation, device time, interruption of learning, or algorithm-version changes.

We make reasonable efforts to keep dictionary definitions, examples, pronunciations, questions, and other learning content accurate, but language use varies by context. You should consider authoritative textbooks, dictionaries, or teacher advice and should not use the App as the sole basis for examination grading, translation certification, or another professional conclusion.

6.2 Cloud Synchronization and Local Data

Account data must be synchronized between the device and server over the internet. Network quality, mobile operators, device storage, iOS status, server maintenance, request retries, and simultaneous use on multiple devices may cause brief delays, offline caching, differences in displayed progress, or conflicts.

We take reasonable measures to protect data synchronization and security, but do not guarantee that any network service will never be interrupted or experience data abnormalities. You should:

  • Use a supported official version and maintain the necessary network connection and device storage;
  • Wait for synchronization to finish before uninstalling the App, signing out, or changing devices;
  • Avoid conflicting operations on the same learning session on multiple devices at the same time;
  • Stop repeated submissions when an abnormality occurs and provide necessary times, pages, and error information through feedback.

If our fault causes data damage or loss, we bear responsibility under law and make reasonable efforts to restore it. If deletion by the user, device damage, jailbreaking, an unofficial client, malicious modification, a third-party tool, or another reason not attributable to us causes it, we may refuse to restore data that is inauthentic or tampered with.

6.3 Resetting Learning Data

The App provides vocabulary-book progress reset. A reset cannot be undone; confirm its scope and consequences before proceeding.

6.4 Sharing

You may share content reasonably only with people willing to receive it. You may not distribute it through bulk messaging, harassment, fraud, false promises, inducements, automated tools, or other improper means. When you send content through the iOS system share sheet, you must confirm the recipient and third-party app yourself. We are not responsible for your misdelivery or the third-party app's subsequent handling.

6.5 Notifications and Voice

Study reminders and applicable expiration reminders for the Pro Starter Pass, introductory offers, or Pro Monthly/Pro Annual subscriptions with auto-renewal disabled depend on iOS notification authorization, system scheduling, and device status. They may be delayed or not displayed because of Focus modes, system restrictions, time zone, or the device being offline. These reminders are auxiliary only and do not replace Apple's subscription-management function; subscription renewal and expiration times are governed by Apple's subscription-management page.

Word pronunciation uses iOS system text-to-speech. Different devices, system voice packages, networks, or language settings may affect availability and quality.

7. Account Deletion

You may enter “Me > About Ciyouqi > Delete Account” in the App, read the consequences, and confirm deletion. After a successful request, we process account deletion according to applicable law, these Terms, and the account-deletion process, and stop providing account-related services.

After deletion:

  • Account deletion is generally irreversible; account profile, learning records, offer eligibility, and in-App benefit records associated with the account may not be recoverable. Confirm that you understand these consequences before deleting the account.
  • You can no longer access cloud data through the original account;
  • Information that must be retained by law is isolated and retained only for the statutory period and scope;
  • To prevent repeated claims, account-associated device-scope offer-claim status may be retained for the shortest period needed to achieve the purpose.

Deleting a Ciyouqi account does not automatically cancel the Apple-managed auto-renewing subscription and does not itself create a refund. Cancel auto-renewal separately through Apple's subscription-management page before deleting the account. If Apple charges you after deletion, first check the Apple subscription status and you may contact us at the same time to help confirm the App's benefit record.

If in-App deletion fails, email support@finitelearning.com. We will verify account ownership and help process it.

8. Use by Minors

Users under 18 should read and use the App under the guidance of a guardian.

Before a child under 14 uses the App, the guardian and child must read the Ciyouqi Children's Privacy Policy together, select the truthful age group, and the guardian must personally complete the consent statement in the App.

A minor's purchase of paid services requires guardian consent and operation. Apple's “Ask to Buy,” parental controls, and Family Sharing are optional system assistance and do not replace our legal obligation to obtain guardian consent. Whether a specific product supports Family Sharing depends on Apple's actual eligibility and page display. For disputes involving a minor's purchase, we handle them under applicable minor-protection and consumer-protection laws and Apple's transaction rules, without excluding rights that the guardian has by law through these Terms.

9. User Conduct

When using the Services, you must not:

  • Violate laws, public order, or another person's lawful rights;
  • Impersonate another person's email, mobile number, Apple, WeChat, or QQ account;
  • Without authorization or a legal basis, obtain, query, collect, use, retain, disclose, sell, distribute, or otherwise exploit another user's personal information, including contact details, account information, learning records, transaction information, and device information, by any means; or bypass permission through vulnerabilities, packet capture, scripts, or other means to obtain such information;
  • Steal, buy, sell, rent, or share accounts, Apple transactions, or offer eligibility;
  • Maliciously register or bulk-register accounts, fabricate transactions, abuse refunds, or obtain improper benefits by exploiting rules;
  • Attack or interfere with the Services through scripts, bots, crawlers, packet capture, cheat tools, client tampering, forged transaction credentials, bypassing security verification, or other means;
  • Scan, test, or probe system vulnerabilities or interfere with interfaces, servers, databases, or other users;
  • Scrape, copy, mirror, distribute, or sell vocabulary books, questions, examples, audio, UI, software, APIs, or other protected content without authorization;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, crack, modify, or create derivative programs for the software, except to the extent expressly permitted by law and not restrictable by contract;
  • Delete or modify copyright, trademark, source, technical-protection, or other rights notices;
  • Use an unofficial version, shared subscription, or third-party tool to modify learning, statistics, vocabulary milestones, or benefit data, or obtain, activate, transfer, or trade service benefits through payment, recharge, purchasing on behalf of others, or another channel not authorized by us or Apple App Store;
  • Use the feedback function to send illegal, harmful, harassing content or malicious requests;
  • Engage in other conduct that may harm the App, users, third parties, or network security.

If there is reasonable evidence that you violate these rules, we may, according to the nature of the conduct, issue a reminder, restrict functions, suspend an account, terminate Services, preserve evidence, or report to the competent authority. Except in emergency security events or where notification is prohibited by law, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal channel.

If your violation of law or contract causes an account or Service to be restricted, suspended, or terminated, you may temporarily or permanently lose access to the account, related data, or in-App benefits. The measure is determined according to the nature of the conduct, risk level, paid-benefit rules, and applicable law; it does not affect your statutory refund, compensation, complaint, or appeal rights.

If your violation causes actual loss to us or a third party, you bear corresponding responsibility within the legally permitted and reasonable necessary scope. Our restrictions do not affect pursuing other responsibility under law or your right to appeal an incorrect measure.

10. Intellectual Property

We or the relevant rights holders lawfully hold intellectual-property and other rights in the following content and results in the App and Services:

  • Ciyouqi, the Ciyouqi product name, trademarks, marks, and domain names;
  • Client and server software, source code, object code, interfaces, technical architecture, and documentation;
  • UI design, layouts, icons, interaction flows, visual materials, and sound effects;
  • Vocabulary-book selection and arrangement, definitions, examples, questions, prompts, learning materials, and content collections;
  • Memory-algorithm implementation, question-generation rules, statistical models, data structures, database design, and data assets;
  • Operating rules, descriptions, text, charts, reports, and other legally protected content.

While you comply with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license solely for personal learning on Apple-branded devices supported by the App. Except as otherwise provided by law or authorized in writing by the rights holder, you may not copy, distribute, rent, sell, publicly disseminate, commercially exploit, or create derivative content.

Your personal information and learning records that can be associated with you do not become our intellectual property merely because they are stored in the Services. We may process these data as necessary to provide Services, protect security, and improve the product. Data that has been anonymized so that individuals cannot be identified may be used for statistics, algorithm evaluation, and product improvement.

Text, images, files, suggestions, or other content submitted through feedback (collectively, “Feedback Content”) must have a lawful source, and you must own the relevant rights or have obtained the necessary authorization. Except where necessary to handle a specific issue and supported by lawful authorization or another legal basis, Feedback Content must not include another person's personal information, trade secrets, account credentials, payment information, or other information that should not be submitted under law, and must not infringe any third party's intellectual property, personal information, trade secrets, reputation, or other lawful rights. You bear responsibility within the scope provided by law for claims or losses caused by Feedback Content.

Submitting a suggestion through feedback does not transfer to us any unrelated personal information or rights in an existing work. You agree that we may use, without charge, product-improvement suggestions that contain no personal information, trade secrets, or third-party rights, but we will not disclose your identity.

If you believe that App content infringes your intellectual property, submit proof of rights, the specific page, an infringement explanation, and valid contact information by email. We will verify it and take necessary measures as required by law.

11. Third-Party Services

Third-party platforms including Apple, WeChat, and QQ, the number-verification, email, and cloud-infrastructure services provided by Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd., and number-verification services provided by relevant mobile operators are provided by the corresponding third parties. When you actively select third-party sign-in, payment, or number verification, the third party may process necessary information under its rules. To provide cloud synchronization, email, app-security verification, subscription-status refresh, and troubleshooting, relevant service providers may also process necessary information while the relevant function operates.

We conduct necessary compliance and security management for integrated SDKs and services, but cannot make commitments on behalf of third parties regarding their independent services. Third-party recipients and processing scope are described in the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and Ciyouqi Personal Information Collection List; client-side SDKs are described in the Ciyouqi Third-Party SDK Directory.

12. Service Changes, Interruptions, and Termination

We make reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity and data security. Services may be briefly interrupted because of system maintenance, network or operator failures, Apple platform abnormalities, natural disasters, public events, attacks, or other reasonable causes. We will give advance notice of foreseeable maintenance where practicable.

We may periodically or occasionally maintain, inspect, upgrade, or apply security measures to the App, servers, and related technical services. Where a significant user impact is expected, we will give advance notice to the extent reasonably practicable.

If an interruption, delay, or abnormality may affect a substantial number of users, we will, where reasonably practicable and according to the impact, explain the situation through an in-App announcement, public page, or another reasonable method. This does not apply where an emergency or unforeseeable circumstance prevents timely notice, or notice cannot be delivered because of network, device, or system status.

If legal or policy requirements, commercial arrangements, or technical conditions require us to stop all or important Services, we will notify users within a reasonable period through an in-App announcement or another prominent method and, as required by law, provide paid users with an appropriate measure such as continued performance, an alternative, or a refund. Processing of personal information and learning data will follow the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may improve the Services, fix security issues, maintain compatibility, or adapt to third-party platform changes through version updates, feature adjustments, replacement, enhancement, or upgrades. After a new version is released, some or all functions of an older version may no longer work for security, compatibility, interface, or operational reasons. We will give upgrade notices where reasonably practicable, but do not guarantee continued availability or the same support for an older version.

The Services depend on Apple, WeChat, QQ, relevant mobile operators, Alibaba Cloud's number-verification, email, and cloud-infrastructure services, network connections, and iOS. Changes to interfaces, policies, service regions, or discontinuation by third parties may change sign-in, payment, number verification, email, voice, or other functions. We will replace solutions, repair, or notify users within a reasonable scope, but cannot control independent third-party systems.

Please obtain the App through the Apple App Store. For unofficial clients or unauthorized installation packages obtained through other channels, we cannot guarantee their source, security, integrity, compatibility, or service availability. To the extent permitted by law and not caused by our fault, the relevant user bears the risks caused by using such clients or packages.

When Services end or the operator stops operating, we will notify users in advance as required by law, stop unnecessary information collection, and provide a legally compliant handling plan for user data and unperformed paid benefits.

13. Privacy and Personal Information

We process your personal information under the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy. That policy explains the collection scope, purposes, retention periods, third-party recipients, cross-border circumstances, children's protection, and your rights to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent to specific personal-information processing activities, and delete your account.

14. Liability Boundaries and Responsibility

We provide the Services in accordance with law and these Terms. If our violation of a legal duty or these Terms causes you loss, we bear responsibility under law.

To the extent permitted by law, the following factors may affect some or all Services. We will take reasonable measures to reduce the impact, but are not liable for losses directly caused by matters not attributable to our fault:

  • Typhoons, floods, earthquakes, fires, infectious diseases, war, government action, and other events that cannot be foreseen, avoided, or overcome;
  • Failures of the public internet, mobile operators, DNS, cloud services, Apple, or other third-party platforms;
  • User-device damage, incompatible system versions, insufficient storage, jailbreaking, malware, incorrect settings, or network quality;
  • The user disclosing account credentials, deleting data by mistake, using an unofficial client, or tampering with data through a third-party tool;
  • Emergency measures required to protect security, fix critical vulnerabilities, or respond to a competent authority.

Even in the above circumstances, we will provide notice, repair, data recovery, or an alternative according to the nature of the event. A brief unforeseeable interruption does not permanently release us from duties that we must perform under law.

Notices, disclaimers, or liability limitations in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by law, do not exclude or limit liability that law does not permit us to exclude or limit, and do not affect consumer rights or remedies you have by law.

15. Updates and Notices

We may update these Terms because of functions, charging models, SDKs, laws, policies, or changes in the operator. General changes will be indicated through an in-App page or announcement. For material changes involving charges, auto-renewal, user rights, liability, or personal information, we will notify you prominently and obtain your consent again as required by law.

An update will not retroactively reduce rights you have already obtained. If you do not accept a material update, you may stop using the App and delete your account through the in-App path; paid benefits are handled according to the purchase-time rules and law.

We may send service, agreement, and security notices through in-App pop-ups, page announcements, account email, or another reasonable method. When you have authorized iOS notification permission, we may also send study reminders or qualifying subscription-status reminders through local notifications. Notices involving material rights will use a prominent method appropriate to their importance. You must keep your account contact information available; whether a local notification is displayed may also be affected by device settings.

16. Miscellaneous

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective; the invalid part will be interpreted in the manner closest to its original purpose to the extent permitted by law.

Our failure to immediately exercise a right does not waive that right. Without our written consent, you may not transfer an account or rights and obligations under these Terms. If the operator changes because of a merger, division, or business transfer, the Ciyouqi Privacy Policy and applicable law apply.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The formation, performance, and interpretation of these Terms are governed by the laws of Mainland China.

For any dispute arising from or related to these Terms, the parties should first seek an amicable resolution through consultation. If consultation fails, to the extent permitted by law, either party may bring an action before the Qingpu District People's Court of Shanghai Municipality; where law provides mandatory jurisdiction rules, those rules apply.
